Court Procedures

Uncontested Probate Docket:

The uncontested docket for the probate of wills is heard each Monday at 10:00 a.m.  The uncontested docket for dependent administrations is heard each Monday at 11:00 a.m.  You may sign in and obtain your file from the clerk beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The docket is called in the order reflected on the sign in sheet.  This docket is for uncontested matters only.  If your case is contested or may require a lengthy hearing for any reason please call Janice Hobbs for a special setting.

All other matters:

All other matters must be specially set in Probate Court Number 1.  Please call Janice Hobbs for settings.  You must give an estimate of the time required for your hearing or trial before it may be set.  Please confer with opposing counsel and agree on how much time will be required for your matter.  You should also inform the Court if your matter will require an interpreter or jury.  Please inform the Court immediately if you matter has settled and will no longer require a setting.

Orders:

If you submit a copy along with a proposed original order, we will conform the copy for you and place it in the file located in the courtroom.  Orders may be found in the file under the first letter of the attorney´s last name.
